This week has been pretty uneventful, I guess. Today, I have a "gutty" feeling to rant about love. That's right. Well, maybe not "Love" but more like... "Crushes"? IDK. So here goes.
I have bad taste in boys. Well, that's what some people tell me. But.. the thing is, the people that tell me that I have bad taste are the people that only look at how that boy looks like. For example, this boy is short, has teeth that jut out like a rabbit (well, not really) has no fashion sense and has weird hair. Most people would judge him by his looks. But this boy, he has really good manners, is musical, is so very, very polite and very kind. Little people would look at this side of the boy. Now, this is where the girl comes in. She's tall, is a little pretty, not too thin and not too cubby, has pretty decent fashion sense and has short hair. Now, remember that the boy is not... that good looking. Which meant not everybody favored him. But this girl hates treating people with disrespect. So she treats the boy like one of her very own friends. And also because the boy is polite, kind and kinda cute, (in her opinion.) She starts talking to him more often than any of her closest friends. The boy notices that the girl treats him differently. And he starts to develop interest in the girl The girl also starts to have feelings for the boy. Now, the difficult part comes in, other people start noticing that the girl spends a lot of time with the boy, and they start teasing her. Of course, the girl becomes hurt. But that doesn't stop her from liking the boy. They both start hanging out everyday. But the boy also notices the constant jeers directed at the girl. And the boy does something to his looks. He starts working out, wears braces to fix those teeth of his, gets a totally new wardrobe and restyles his hair. sooner or later, the boy becomes really, really good looking.
The girl sees this, and she gets shocked. "Why did you change the way you look?" She asks. The boy frowns and replies "I like you a lot, and I really hate to see people tease you. So I decided to change my appearance." A tear falls from the girl's eyes. "But I liked you just the way you are." She says. The boy smiles. "Really?" And the girl nods. But since he already did so much to get into this shape that he didn't want to go back to the way it was. The girls nods and has to accept it. But she secretly is really happy.
This is just a really cheesy example I made up on the spot. But it might happen in real life to someone this very moment. The looks don't matter at all. This story reminds me of my life, too. The boy is my "crush" and I'm the girl. And no, the boy is still short, has weird hair and really bad fashion sense. But he is really, really nice. For example, I brought a box of Smints with me one day, and I offered some to the boy. He smiled and accepted it. And he kept asking for more. Of course, I let him have as much as he wanted. When half my box was gone, he became shocked and offered to buy me another box. I declined the offer, but he kept insisting. He still insists. And its kinda annoying. But I also think its really sweet of him. So, you see, looks don't really matter. Its the attitude and the character that draws two people together. That's all I have to say today.
Bye.
