I would rather go swimming with great white sharks than wade in romance

Hello.

You probably really hate me right now for not posting anything for who-knows-how-long.
And I'm here to tell you that I'm sorry, and also to post one of those posts where I talk about stuff.
And I'm honestly not sure what to talk about, like right now, I'm just weighing the possibilities as I'm typing this sentence. I'm very tempted to talk about love and romance because it's a subject that a lot of kids (okay, teens.) my age want to stay far away from, but can't help but think and talk quietly about. I, honestly am very confused about this, too. Like, why can't it be a simple thing that everyone can just sit and enjoy? Why do we have to be so hush, hush about it?
Well, I have a group of friends, like almost everyone does, and what I we usually make out of our conversations are "Hey, that boy is cute." Or, "So, you still like him?" Or, "O.M.G. IT'S HIM."
And other times it's "Have you heard that latest One Direction song?" Or, "Harry Styles is soo hot!"
I have weird friends.

But maybe love is not what I want to talke about today. Maybe it's something that us girls have this internal problem with: boys.
Now, I'm no expert with boys, but what I do know, is they are some weird creatures.
Don't get me wrong, in my youth group, there are more boys than girls, and it's extra hard for the leaders to calm us down to teach the lesson because you know... boys.
And I hate to admit, but some of the guys in youth group are pretty cute. I hope they don't stumble upon this blog.
Anyway, I've always noticed that in our conversations, my friends always seem to think that boys are the prime subject of every discussion. And if it wasn't the guys in my youth group we were talking about, it'd be about the members of One Direction, or Greyson Chance or Justin Bieber. And to be honest, I don't even like any of these guys. (or to be specific, band and artists.) And what is really sad is that that is all our discussions are really made of. Boys, boys, boys, it's like our lives revolve around them. While boys' lives revolve around eating, video games, and excessive farting.
Why are girls so intrigued by the presence of these flat chested beings? (haha.)
The answer? I have no clue.
Does a girl become attracted to a boy because of his looks? What's the guys' saying for that? Oh yeah, liking a girl for her looks is like liking a game for its graphics.
I think that saying speaks some truth. Because some games can have amazing graphics but have horrible gameplay and storyline.. whatever guys call it.
But some games have really bad graphics, but can be crazy awesome. Like Minecraft. Haha.
Anyway, what I think would be good is that girls like me, you (sorry if you're a guy.) and everyone else should never look at a guy's looks. Though it would indeed be very rewarding to be interested in a guy who has both  looks and character.. or whatever qualities that are good. Not just looks.
You that saying? The one that says those who give out great love advice or something are single? Or something like that? Is it weird that I think it's true?
Okay, whatever. You don't want to listen to a 13 year old give advice to people in need of help, especially since it's 13 year olds that are scrawling forever alone and "I LOVE YOU" posts all over Facebook.
I'm still finding it hard to digest the fact that I'm turning 13 this year.
I need to go to the gym.
I have to go to the gym.
Okay.
