Saturday
I still find it hard to believe, but I woke up at like 7 something AM. Really. And without the help of an alarm clock. Goodness. After I woke up, Joash woke up and then Met woke up and then more people started waking up. It was like a chain reaction. After everyone in the living area was up, the girls crossed over to the guys, and we talked a bit. Teacher Lynette told us about some people that were awake and talked to each other. She also mentioned Damien laughing at some statement. Damien's laugh is weird. I honestly think he sounds like a suffocated piglet whenever he laughs. Sorry. After I stood up from one of the guy's mattress, I noticed that Met went to sleep with a container of salt in front of his mattress in case any leeches decided to make a surprise visit. I pointed that out to him, and we both laughed. Haha. Then, we cleared our mattresses, did this morning exercise thing that was kinda weird, played a game and then had breakfast.
Breakfast was great. We had teh tarik and nasi lemak. Super Malaysian. After eating, I went to change and then everyone got ready for today's only activity: walking to the waterfall! (and of course, playing in it)
After everyone was ready, (except Joash, cause he was feeling unwell that morning) we took this reallyyyy loongggg and tirringgg track to the waterfall. But it was very rewarding when we finally reached there. The water was crisp, and cold, and clear. What we needed after the long, sticky and sweaty walk. We splashed at the water haven for a reallyyy longg timee, and it was awesome. What I find funny was that Met was trying his best not to get wet, but well, he got wet anyway, and we (by we I mean, me, Zen Mae and Eliza) kept splashing water at him, and him at us. It was fab, really. I was kinda sad when we had to go. But well, all good things have to come to an end. Here's where something bad happens.
As we were walking down this really rocky and steep path, I jumped from one rock, and my toe hit another something which I'm not sure what, and it ate my toenail. Not the big one, but the second one to the right on my left foot. Yes. The nail came out and it hurt so bad. It was bleeding really badly, too. But I had to continue the path, and when we finally reached the end, I told teacher Lyn about it, and she helped me dress it temporarily. After that, she told me that I could ride in the car with Joash (he somehow teleported to the end) instead of having to walk back up to the house. I was pretty happy about that. Haha. We reached the house first, and I took the opportunity to take a niceee shower. Then I changed, and met everyone else at the living area. They were eating lunch. I went to get mine, too. After eating, teacher Lyn helped me to put antiseptic cream and a plaster over my toe. I thanked her after that because I really was very grateful.
I went back inside and I talked a bit. This is where the trip ends. The parents started coming to pick their kids, and one by one, my classmates started leaving. I said bye to all of them. Finally my mom came. My mom also gave David and Jordan a ride to the guard house cause David's dad was waiting for him there.
Later I went to church for youth group, and I was really happy because I hadn't gone for almost three weeks and I really missed my friends. We went upstairs for CG and well, this week was movie week, and we watched Remember The Titans, which I thought was pretty okay. And it was based on a true story, so I thought it made the movie pretty cool. After that I had to leave church early because my parents had another something to go to and I had to follow them. Honestly, I didn't want to follow them to their meeting because I was exhausted and really wanted to go home and rest. So by my now I was kinda moody and didn't feel okay. My legs also started to ache and my toe hurt really bad. For about two hours, I sat outside their meeting room and read a book. (it's called Looking For Alaska by John Green, if you're curious. It's really good.) After that we went to get dinner and my mom was kinda upset with me because I was in a bad mood which made me sink more into the bad mood. Finally after dinner and we got home, I got scolded by my dad about my behaviour. By this time I'd lost it because I felt they didn't understand how I felt, and I stomped up into my room.
Later, I tweeted about feeling horrible, and by some miracle, Evan, my friend who I've been really close to lately replied to that tweet in less than a minute asking if I wanted to talk about it. I said yes, and I thanked him. In about a few minutes, I got on Skype because he preferred talking on there. After a bit into the conversation, he said he understood how I felt and said that this was practically his whole life. By now I was feeling much better and I was glad that he was there, but there was more to be said, and he told me that he didn't really wanna type so he insisted that I call him instead. Call him I did, and it was possibly one of the best thirty minutes I'd had ever on Skype. We didn't video call, alas, but hearing his voice was enough. He was so understanding, and he laughed a lot, which I really liked. Haha. Yeah, so basically we talked and talked until the device he was Skyping me with started getting low on battery, so I bid him goodnight.
It was nice.
Sunday will be continued in Part 3
