orientation week + update on life

Wow. It has been a looooooong time since I updated on my life. I can tell you that the past month has been extremely hectic, hence me not updating for a while. Also, I've not been in the mood to blog. Also I'm a lazy bum. Also I love Tumblr more. Also I love Doctor Who more. Yeah. It's been a while.

The main reason why I'm back to write is because this blog here has been reallyyy lonely, and also because a lot has happened this week and well, I wanna tell you guys what's been goin' down.
This week was Orientation Week. In my school, it is a custom to orientate the new classes who come to ABC. (name of school has been changed because stalkers are scary) And well, basically our seniors (a.k.a orientators a.k.a fellow torturers) are the ones who orientate us. Orientation Week is meant to help everyone from the new classes get to know each other better. It's fun but not fun but mostly fun. Yup.

The first day (Monday) was rather interesting. We had cookery first, where we made scones. (yay scones!) Then after another period then lunch, it was our first orientation session thing. Now as most of you might know, I am in the P3 class, where most of the kids have already been orientated, but I came in June, and I was with the P4s for not even a month. I was then moved with the P3s as my level of knowledge was almost the same as theirs. And it was because I came in later that I had to be orientated. Which was kinda weird but anyway. Christine gathered everyone together and she announced the first thing that we all had to do. (I kinda already knew this part because the committee is always always discussing orientation during class and you can't help not to hear what they're saying) We were all separated into groups (that were named after animals for some reason) and I was in Dog. Yay. Woof. What. After that we played two truths, one lie and then musical chairs, which was okay. Too many people in the game lol. Yeah and that was basically it. Mild. Very mild.

I'm gonna skip what happened during class (we had a science test tho) and I'll go straight to what happened. Oh gosh this wasn't fun at all. Okay so basically, we all had three little Post-It notes with names of ingredients on them. Each team got different ingredients. Mine got black pepper, orange juice (which had to be substituted with chilli sauce because for some reason they didn't have orange juice) and blended bitter gourd. Oh yes, and 8 cups a quarter full with water. If you haven't already guessed it, we had to combine all these three ingredients together equally (the ingredients were NOT divided evenly I tell you) in the 8 cups, and we had to give another team our lovely concoction to suffer and die. Not really. But yes. It smelled horrible. (my team's drink, that is, if you could even call it that) Like it reeked of black pepper. So gag worthy.

The aim of the game was to drink one cup of what you were given (we had 8 people in my team so each person had a cup) and then put it upside-down and flip it in some magical way so that it'll land on the same side you started with. If you must know (oh the pain in typing this) my team got this horrendous mixture of salt, pepper and garlic. Oh, that doesn't sound so bad? HA. There was literally a handful of salt in each cup. And you know, the team that made the "drink" was given a whole packet of pepper about the size of a slice of white bread. They used the whole bag of pepper and put in our 8 cups. Oh, and the garlic? It was all chunky and you pretty much had to chew it before swallowing. When it came to my turn, I took one gulp, and I felt like I'd just swallowed death. It was peppery, so salty you could die, and the garlic? Don't ask me. My throat was literally burning and for a few seconds I couldn't breathe because of the pepper and it really, really hurt. After finishing the thing, I flipped the cup over (it took many tries) and once I was done, I dashed to the loo and threw up. Mm such fun. Now I'm not complaining. Okay I am. It was horrible but probably worth the experience ahhahahahahahahhahahah.

On the third, day (which was fashion day) we had to dress up as our team's animal. So, I made little dog ears (WHICH EVERYONE SAID LOOKED LIKE RABBIT EARS I AM SORRY I AM NOT ARTISTICALLY INCLINED OKAY) and I printed out a photo of Doge. Not dog, but Doge. Yay. That was fun, to rush through, because I'm feeling kinda sleepy, we had to have a fashion show thing which was totally fun. Totallllyyyyyyy. That was Wednesday.

NOW, a quick update on life. I think I might like someone, Iris is a great friend, I got a B on my science test, I'm reading Life of Pi which is great, Edison is torturous, I love school.

Oh when I said quick, I meant quick.

Thanks for reading!

The photo of Doge I printed yay.

xx.
