So, it was my dad's birthday yesterday. And actually, we celebrated it the night before with a surprise dinner for him and it was really nice, because my mom made pumpkin soup and shepherds pie, and I got to decorate the cake! (double chocolate YUM).
I won't elaborate on that, but I have to say, that night was just wonderful.
Wednesday
Not much happened on this day. The only thing I remember is going to Edison. Which was at 7:30 PM. So I'll skip all the way to that part. Because, well. Most of the interesting things happened at this time.
Well, I reached the center at about 7:30-something, and I went into one of the many rooms and sat down on stool. my teacher, Ms. Ana, said 'hi' and I said 'hi'. So after an awkward silence, I asked "How's life?" And Ms. Ana said she passed out twice that day in front of her son's school. (she said it was because of heatstroke or something.) But she was alright after that.
The lesson was pretty good. And I learned quite a lot of things. But the only thing about Edison is the homework. It's crazy. Well, not really. I think I still need some time to get used to all those assignments.
So, at around 9:00 PM, Edison ended and I went outside the center to wait. Jia Wen was standing there, so I walked up to her, and we started a conversation. And then I was wondering why my mom was so late, so I called her, and it seemed, that she thought that Edison ended at 9:30 PM. And she said she would be coming. But the center was closing up and we had to wait outside the gates. Ms Jody (I think that's her name), parked her car outside the center and waited there with us. Kai Yuen was there, too. 'Cause she was sending him home. And she was like "Would you like to come in and sit? I've got air conditioning and music!" But I said "It's pretty cool out here already." But Ms. Jody really is very nice. She winded down the window and let the air-cond blow at our faces. It was really nice. We also had a really nice conversation. And I found out that she lives somewhere near my own house.
Anyway, My mom finally came and we went home. I think I did some work (and a little video editing) and showered and went to bed.
Thursday
Plenty of things happened on Thursday. And I really liked that. First of all, I had WSC in the morning. So, I woke up at about 7:15 AM. But I went back to sleep and woke up at around 8:30 AM. I got dressed and packed the necessary things I would need for my presentation. Because at WSC, most of the participants would give a presentation based on the topic of the month. And, this month's topic was Culture Of Different People Groups. So, we drove to church (that's where WSC is held) after getting dressed and everything. I passed by the table where the big guys (and girls) sit and hang around. I noticed that Daniel was with them and I think I said 'Hi.'
I went upstairs into the room and saw everyone and sat down. It seems, that I was the last person to arrive, and for some weird reason, the last presentation slot was the first one. But I quite liked that, because the first presenter normally has the most attention from the audience. ( I think. )
Anyway, my presentation was about the Ibans from Sarawak. And I was doing it in a skit form. But since I was individually doing it, I had to split myself into to people. It was quite fun doing it, really. But also somewhat confusing.
After manyyyyy more presentations, WSC ended and we all went down to the concourse to eat lunch. Well, some of us. Most of the others were going to the park for a picnic, but a few others preferred to stay back and have a nice lunch- indoors. Because you see, they were going at 12:00 PM and in where I live, It's the hottest time of the day, so Me, Aunty Elaine's family (who by the way, just got back from China), Aunty Joon Phei's family and Josh. I went to get my food, and before I reached the table I was sitting at, I saw Ann watching Josh sit at a table, trying to get a container of cookies to open. So I walked over and said. "Um, Josh, are you going to come over and join us or stay here and wrestle with your cookies?"
But he finally got the container to open and Ann said "Josh's cookies are really good, they're just like Famous Amos." And I tried a cookie, and oh my goodness, it really did taste like Famous Amos. It actually seems that he was selling the cookies, and later on, my mom bought two containers. YUM.
So, after eating lunch and talking about Josh's eyebrows, we all left.
My mom wanted to go to this mall, so we dropped by there till we had to leave for my math tuition.
Well, my math tuition went normaly as usual. You know math, it's boring and "fun"!
(I'm sorry if I offended any of you math-lovers.)
After math tuition, we went home to pick my dad up and bring him out for another birthday dinner. We were gonna eat at this Japanese buffet place.
Dinner was good. And I was super full when we left the restaurant. We then went to the concierge or something because my dad wanted to claim "birthday points" or something. My sisters and I kinda just hung around because all the Chinese New Year decorations were coming out and we all took silly photos together. After that, we went to Parkson to look around. My sisters and me hung around at the kids' area. And I have to say, it was realllyyy cool. I even found these super cute Owl plushies or something. SO CUTE OMG.
Our last stop for the night was MPH. One of my favorite bookstores. I kinda browsed around and found a Captain America comic. For 120 bucks. And I was like "SERIOUSLY?!?!?!" I was a little mad, because I love Captain America, and all the comics I've found so far are so blooming expensive. :(
But I did buy two books anyway. They were I Am Number Four and The Future Of Us. Super excited to read them. :)
So, that's all I did on Thursday!
JPS today, so excited OMG!!!!!
KTHXBYE
