So, hello.
You've probably noticed how depressing I've sounded the past week, well, today I'm here with a not depressing post!
I have to say, that every week, I really look forward to Saturday. I mean, I go to church, and since I'm homeschooled, I don't have many close friends outside church grounds, so I'm always psyched up to see my friends from church.
Okay, so yesterday was really, really exciting because there was SNL that night, and there would be a skit which had me, Tjia Yi, Joel, Daniel and Daniel acting in it! (Yes, there were two Daniels in the skit, haha.)
And let me tell you that the skit was pretty impromptu, there was no script, so we kinda have to improvise, which I think was pretty cool. We all met at church at 11:30 AM for a briefing and to rehearse a little. I would gladly explain what the skit was about, but I'm too lazy to. Ha. Okay, okay, fine, I'll explain what it was about. Basically, it was about these two teenagers, (Tjia Yi and Joel) who didn't know who they were in the world. So, they sought for help and this guy, tries to give them an identity, that totally wasn't them at all. In the end they still don't find out who they are, and that's kinda sad. Anyway, so after the briefing, we stayed in the room where we were briefed because youth group would take place there later in the afternoon. It was cool, I guess, we hung out, and played video games and a card game, and we talked and stuff. Then it was 2:00 PM so the other kids from youth started coming in. Then Lydia came in with a card and she asked us to write in it she said it was for Ian, a kid in my youth group. And I, being the ignorant human I am, wrote "Hey Ian! Happy birthday! I hope you have an awesome one! God bless! Faith Ling."
And then when I checked the back of the card, it wrote, "Get well soon."
And I was like, "Lydia, is it Ian's birthday?" or something like that, and she said, "Oh, no! He broke his arm a few days ago!" and I then I facepalmed myself because I am pathetic. So then I added at the bottom, "But seriously, get well soon."
After mostly everyone wrote in the card, Marie announced it was time for ice breakers. The first game we played was called, "Hunter, Bear, Ninja" it was okay-ish.
And then we played "Mafia" which was actually pretty fun. Then it was worship, and youth ended. Yes, you could say that this wasn't one of the regular meetings because there was SNL that night. Anyway, after youth ended, I sat in the corridor with Aaron and Tjia Yi and Daniel and we talked. Well, Tjia Yi didn't talk much, she was strumming on Esther's guitar. Sooner or later, we went downstairs to rehearse some more, and it was so funny because we kept laughing, don't ask why.
Then after about an hour or so, we went outside to eat dinner. Then after dinner we hung out a bit, then we went upstairs to where SNL was held because we're cool people.
SNL was amazing! The skit was a succes and just everything turned out great! Later after SNL, we sent Andrea and Tjia Yi home. Then I asked my mom is they had the Owl City shirt I ordered and she said "Yes."
To make the long story short, Owl City was selling this shirt for USD 5.00 and wanted to get it because the it was pretty reasonable for a shirt. Then as I proceeded to the online checkout, I noticed that they don't ship to where I live, which devastated me. But then I saw that they ship to where my uncle lives, so I asked my uncle if I could send the shirt to his house and he said okay. So, then he came to visit us and he passed the shirt to my mom and she passed it to me. :D
Here's the disappointing part, I tried on the shirt this morning and discovered that it was too big.
*WEEPS*
Sigh. Oh well, I'll have to ask my mom to send it to the tailor or something. So, that was all for Saturday. :)
Bye.
OWL CITY SHIRT!!!! I want one too! How's it look like? POST POST POST :D
