we're hanging on so take us high

So for the first time in a while, I actually had a really, really good week. I'd especially highlight Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. So, here we go!

Thursday
I hung out with Wei Jen, Darrel. Tjia Yi, Charmaine, Miracle and Marie at a mall on Thursday, and we had loads of fun. First, I met Tjia Yi, Miracle, Charmaine and Wei Jen at TGV, which by the way, is a cinema. We kinda arguing with each other about which movie we wanted to watch. Miracle, Tjia Yi and Charmaine wanted to watch Epic, but me and Wei Jen wanted to watch Star Trek, which I heard, is really good. But we ended up picking Epic instead. Then we Darrel and Marie came sooner or later so we went to have lunch. Me, Tjia Yi, Charmaine and Miracle ate at McD's while Wei Jen and Marie ate at Sakae Sushi. Darrel didn't eat anything. After eating we quickly went back to the cinema, bought popcorn and and went into the theater. Surprisingly, Epic was really, really good. After the movie we didn't really know what to do, so we went to buy frozen yogurt. Then Tjia Yi had to go for some reason. After that, Marie wanted to show usa video, but we needed wifi, so I told her that there was this cafe that had free wifi that was really fast. It was Dr. Cafe, if you're curious. When we got there, I bought a strawberry franilla so that we wouldn't feel bad using their wifi, but not buying anything. After we watched the video, which was really funny, we chatted a bit then left the cafe. If you're curious about what the video was about, here: http://youtu.be/llrpJgo5LXU
Watch it, and laugh.

After that we didn't really know what to do so we hung around, then we went to Candylicious for no apparent reason. After more walking and stuff, we dispersed. I had to go to church after that because I was part of this short film that would be part of the July production which my church does every year. I was to be a stills photographer, and my mom and younger sister would be acting in it. There, we were briefed and I got to meet some new people. But it was nice to find out that Amy che che, Charis, Daniel and Eritrea were part of it, too. After about an hour or so of casting and stuff, we went home.

Friday
I bought some pants. Jeans, specifically.

Saturday
AHA! I was super excited on this day because we would start filming the first few scenes of the short film. We all gathered in the afternoon at Amy's house to brief and stuff. I was kinda surprised to see Wei Jen there. Amy also passed me a camera (an SLR) to take photos with, because I was the stills photographer. ( You know that already. ) Anyway, we shot a few scenes then we walked around the neighborhood to see which background would look nice. We were actually doing Charis' character today. Her character was made of two people. Charis, who would be playing the older version of the character, and Eve, my sister, who would be playing the younger version. We shot Eve's first because we would only meet Charis later. After that, we headed to a mall because that's where Charis was waiting for us. Goodness, we spent nearly the whole day there before we headed to church to film the last few scenes of the day. Though it was really a lot of fun. After we filmed the last scene, we all rested at the concourse area, and we all ate curry puffs. Some of  the cast and crew had gone home by now, and the only ones left were me, Daniel, Wei Jen, Dennis (who played Eve's dad), Gary (director of the film) and Zac (Cameraman). We talked about stuff and laughed about stuff, and reviewed the stuff that we filmed that day. Then we all had to go home.

Sunday
I was even more excited on Sunday. Because, the night before, Janelle (production manager) sent me a message asking me to act as the friend of the younger version of my mom's character. Of course I said yes! I was really, really happy because I wanted to act really, really badly. So yeah. Again, we gathered at Amy's house and had Domino's Pizza for lunch! Then we planned some stuff and headed off. We went to Amy's in-laws' house because that day, they were doing my mom's character and their house was perfect. I took the camera along. (I love that camera)
Anyway, when we got there we started setting up and everything. We were going to film outside the house. Like, around the garden area. But then Gary changed his mind, and so we moved inside the house. Which was probably a lot better because it was seriously really hot outside. I have to say, my mom did a great job acting! Especially since she didn't have much time to memorize the script. But we all agreed that she did a wonderful job. After filming some filler shots, I changed into my costume and we drove to another location. By the way, the person who was playing the younger version of my mom's character was a really nice girl named Sara. Like seriously, she is really, really nice. Anyway, we arrived that this park which was where we were going to film the scene which I was in. We filmed it really quickly because we wanted to get back to church really soon to film the last two scenes, which had Eve in it. So, we headed back to church and had dinner there. It was McDonald's if you're curious. As we ate, we talked a lot. My mom shared some stories, and I added details and it was just really nice mingling with the crew. Because they were some really nice people. Anyway, after dinner, we filmed a scene at a hallway in church, and then we drove to another location. My mom was driving some friends who were part of the crew. If you're curious, they were Daniel, Wei Jen, Jaedon and Janelle. Eve was in the car too.
We watched Cinderella on the way to the location. Yes, Cinderella. Got a problem with that?

Anyway. We reached our location, which was this really dark alley. We wanted to finish filming ASAP because the alley was in a residential area, and it was really dark. So we wanted to film and leave. Which was what we did. Yeah, so after that, we headed back to church and said our goodbyes, because it was about 10:00 PM and we were tired and wanted to go to bed. So. Yeah.

Thanks for reading, haha. :)
