So I kinda meant to update about Christmas but I didn't because I was not in the mood at all.
Christmas day was pretty nice though. I woke up super early, like at 5 AM and got ready for the Christmas service and all that which was fun and stressful and the same time.
I had to be at church at 7:30 cause I was in the choir and stuff.
So yeah I reached church like at 8:00 because the whole family left late (hey it rhymes!) and another thing, I noticed that my shoes were too big. Yeah they were new shoes that I'd just bought like a week or two ago and they were too big! Like there was probably an inch and a half of space in the shoe that wasn't filled and it was pretty hard walking. I won't go into explaining why because it'll take too much time. I'll just leave you with this: I had socks on when I tried those shoes on. Thick socks.
ANYWAY. (I'm just gonna quickly rush through this) Choir was really great lah. We were very awesome for the Christmas services. (there were two because our church is so big) It was fun. After the first service I decided that I'd give out some of the gingerbread men I made. That was fun cause everyone I gave the cookies to were like, "OMG THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!" not really but yeah. When the second service was about to start, we all went back into the green room (yas we had a green room) to get ready for our next performance. And yeah it went as well as the first service. After that christmas service I walked around the concourse, giving out more cookies, enjoying everyone's gratefulness. AHHAHAHA. Ya. Then about half and hour or so later I had to go because my family and I were going for a Christmas lunch thing and we wanted to find a restaurant with a table.
We went to Cinnamon, which was this buffet place at a hotel and it's like my family's favourite buffet restaurant ever. When we got there, it was fully booked, and we were like "NNOOOOO" but then the manager lady tried her best to get a place for us and we got a place! And there was much rejoicing. Lunch there was awesome. So awesome. When we got home, it was like 5 and I was sooooo tireddd, so I went to bed. Yes. At 5 PM. Probably the earliest ever. And guess what. I woke up at 5 AM. I had 12 hours of sleep and it was glorious.
New Year's
Got to church at around 9 PM for the watchnight celebrationnnn! When I arrived I went to find the gang and when I did, for some reason we started taking selfies. Shameful. Anyway, later on more people came and we decided to go upstairs to the gallery area to sit. Tjia Yi sat on me left and Shannon sat on my right. I don't know why I had to tell you that. Anyway, watchnight service was pretty great. They showed lots of stuff about the NextGen and featured lotsa things about the church. The only downside was that I had a headache. T_T ugh perfect timing. Ya after a while I noticed Daniel (Yong), who was sitting in front of me was being "bullied" by Miracle and Alanis who were sitting not to far away on my right on Facebook chat. Which I thought was funny. HAHA. Then I joined in. I started with, "I AM WATCHING YOU" then who looked behind and gave me "the look" and then replied, "bless you". Pretty much throughout the night we messaged back and forth which was kinda funny because half way through he looked pretty sleepy and then I said to him, (in real life), "you look really tireddd" then said, "I'm trying to sleeeeppp". AHAHA. Then very soon it was almost the count down and it was two minutes to 12.00 AM of 2014. And the pastor asked everyone to do this: to take out our phones and text someone who blessed us this year. And I texted Evan because he was such a blessing to me this year. Then he replied at 12.00 AM saying that there were fireworks on his side and that he would reply with another message later. And everyone rejoiced at that moment and there was much rejoicing and we were all hugging each other, saying HAPPY NEW YEARRRRR. It was lovely, and I Tjia Yi and I looked at each other and said, "WE'RE 14!!!!" and there was much rejoicing.
When we got outside we hung out and chilled and I got porridge because porridge was being given out just like last year and the year before. We laughed and talked so much. And I said Happy New Year to everyone I knew that walked by and it was nice. Really nice. Of course I won't go into detail what I did exactly, but I was with my friends, the people I loved so much, I had a bowl of porridge, I was happy, I felt infinite. (Charlie moment haha)
So yeah, I'm not gonna post a list of resolutions cause last year's totally failed. But honestly, I really hope 2014 will be better, brighter year. 2013 was good. But I'm hoping, that 2014 will be gooder. (I'm using that ironically pls don't keel me pls.)
