The Crossing 2013 - part 2

Hello! (please read part 1 before coming here)

Saturday
So I was kinda sad about today because tomorrow would be the last day of camp and tonight would be my last night at camp, and I had to make it count. As usual we all woke at 7:30 AM and I shouted GOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL SUNSHINES!!! as soon as I got up. (and yes Darick and Tjia Yi and Bri and Aileen all heard me.) I am so good at disturbing people. After dressing and washing up, we had devotion at 8 and I was alert and able to concentrate. Which was a good thing. Once devotion was done we headed down to the cafeteria for breakfast! Which was made of fries and nuggets and toast and margarine and coconut jam. I thought those were pretty weird things to eat for breakfast.

Anyway, after that I had a bit of free time so I wandered around a bit, then I went back to the hall because we had a morning session. Then later everyone split up for workshops. We were given two choices for the first workshop and they were Worship and Media; I chose media cause my field is writing and photography, which are both part of media. The Media talk was really good and it was about how we could use Media for Christ and stuff like that. I would elaborate more but I don't want to. Ha. For the second workshop we had to choose between 'Church History In 60 mins!' and 'How "TED" Talk about your Faith in Christianity' or something like that. I chose the second one because, 1. Victor Peh was speaking and the guy is an awesome, hilarious speaker and 2. Because I'd always wanted to know how to talk to people about Christianity the right way.

And, as I had anticipated, it was an awesome talk. :D After that workshop was lunch. After I ate my lunch, Daniel (from Chasing Waterfalls) came up to me and asked if I had any Post-It notes on me, and I said yes, because I brought them for this thing that we always have at every camp called Angel and Mortal. And since I was an Angel I was gonna need some form of paper to stick on the present I was to give to my Mortal. Then Daniel asked if I could help him write something for his Mortal because he thinks I have girly handwriting and he wants to make his Mortal (who is a guy) think that his Angel is a girl. So evil. Gosh I laughed so much writing that note because it had things like, "XOXO" and "You are so cute!" AHHAAHAHHA.

After helping him write the note I headed downstairs to the outside to meet my group to practice for Talent Time. The day before, we learned that we HAD to have the superhero of our team (Wonderwoman) and a congkak board incorporated into the game without having to twist the story. Tsk tsk. However we successfully managed that and we practiced over and over again till I skit was pretty flawless. The best part of our skit was that a GUY was playing the role of Wonderwoman. MUAHHAHAHA. It made our skit like 10 times better. A very short while after practicing we all went back up to the hall because it was Talent Time!! Ya. To cut the long story short, the skit went fairly well except for the part when Wonderwoman's "robes" fell off in the middle of the show. (we used a bed sheet.) HAHA. Still went okay, though. After Talent Time was over, we were dismissed for Free Time and a lot of people went to shower. Which I didn't understand because we didn't do any running or game-playing.

During Free Time I ran into Sam and Bekah who asked me if I wanted to be part of this "flash mob" thing for the committee members, and I gladly said yes. We spent the next few minutes debating on what song to use. Along the way James Stefan and A guy called Joel were included. Later on we took it outside and we discussed some more. Included in this plan were Andrew, Abby, a girl called Joy, Jun Jie and Ashley. Finally we decided to sing 3 christmas songs instead of dancing. The songs were joy To The World, All I Want For Christmas Is You and Feliz Navidad. It was pretty awesome. After Free Time was dinner which I got to eat with the group because wanted to practice again after that, then the night session, which was very nice because I got to sit nect to Ka Hui who is backk!!! And I got to reconnect with him after soo loongg. Then we did our appreciation thing!! We called ourselves Tentatonix and it was awesome. Then after a message and prayer, night session was over, and we were allowed to sleep at 12:30 AM because it was our last night in WindyFoggyMisty. The night ended really well because I got to talk with Miracle and Abigail and Andrew, and this guy called Abel who is a very nice person and Joe Wah and Stephen and Jun Jie. We laughed at a lot of things, and they laughed especially when I unintentionally explained that the Moon was a "ball of rock", and when I called eyeballs "balls of eyes" and yeah they were probably thinking wrong. Abel never lets me forget it though. T_T

Sunday (the last day! D: )

On Sunday some of us woke up at around 6:30 AM to watch the sun rise and it was quite lovely. After that I went back to bed and woke up again at like 7:40. We all had devotion later than usual because of the late night before, and ended up having devotion at 8:10 when we were supposed to have it and 8:00. But that was okay because we finished on time. I didn't get to yell "Good morning beautiful sunshines" either and that made me kinda sad. Anyway, we all went to teh cafeteria for breakfast and then up to the hall for morning session. Then we all took our group picture then it was lunch, then we all came back to the hall for Appreciation. They announced the winners for Talent Time appreciated some people, then announced the overall winners for the camp.  My group didn't win for any of these, but it's okay. It was fun, anyway. My Angel revealed herself to me later on and I discovered that her name's Kimberley and she's really nice. Then, we all got ready to go home. I was soooo sad.

We spent bus ride home eating potato chips and singing songs and talking and talking and talking. We reached church at 4 PM and I got to talk to Darick and Charmyn a bit. Then as I was talking to some people I noticed that Abel and Daniel, who were sitting across me, waving. I looked behind and saw no one and I realised that they were waving at me. Then I continued to look blur then Daniel was like, "We're waving at you lahhh!" then he and Abel started laughing then Nick Leong joined in. Hahah that was kinda funny. :)

Anyway, my dad came to pick my up later when almost everyone left.

Camp was awesome. I'd grown closer to God, improved my relationships with my friends, made new friends, gosh, camp was awesome.

Thanks for reading!
xx.
