Yes. I am back. HAHA.
Anyway, I just came back from a conference in Melaka yesterday. As you know, (Or probably might not) I'm homeschooled, so I go to a LOT of conferences.. kinda. Anyway, this conference was about 3 days and it kinda worked like this:
I use a programme called ATI, and they have a regional conference here in Equestria every year in November. So, for three days, the adults will have their own seminars, the boys between the ages of 7-18 have this thing called 'Alert Cadet' where they do all kinds of stuff that ''cadets' do. And the girls between the ages of 6-16 have a seminar thing. This year, the theme for the girls was Bright Lights where we learned to 'Sing A New Song For Jesus'. And all this happened in three days, my family arrived on Wednesday in Melaka, a day before everything started.
Wednesday
I think I forgot what time I woke up. But I woke up, anyway. And everyone in my family were frantically running around the house like chickens as we tried to get the last minute things packed in. I carried my suitcase down the stairs, and I suddenly wished I didn't pack so much clothes. It was so heavy ohmygoodness. We climbed into the car later on and VAMOOSH. We were off! The trip was who-knows-how-long. And all I really did on the trip was listen to music. And read. A little. Oh. I slept a lot too. I love sleeping. It's a thing we unicorns do best. Sooner or later.. well, very much later, we reached MELAKA! WEEEEEEE. I missed the place soo much. Oh, I forgot to mention, we were following Aunty Sarah to Melaka, my mom couldn't drive there on her own. So after we reached Melaka, we parked somewhere in front of Jonker Street. And walked (well, shuffled) in to this small shop that sold fabulous chicken rice. Now, if you don't know what chicken rice is, its normally delicious steamed, or roasted chicken served with oil rice. I know it sounds ordinary but its really, really good. But, in Melaka, instead of being sold all messed up on a plate, the rice is all clumped together in four huge balls. Its really, really good. So we walked in, with Aunty Sarah's four very nice kids.
And they served us the chicken rice and it was soooo good! I ate plenty because I hadn't eaten breakfast.. yeah. And then when we were done, we drove to the place that we were staying. we weren't staying at a hotel this year, it was sooooo pricey. We were staying at this church, instead. It served our purposes very well. But when I saw the place that we were staying I was like "WHAT?!" But it really turned out okay. I forgot to tell you guys, a few hours before we reached Melaka, my mom told me that Jonathan Lo was coming for the conference and would be staying at the church, too. And I was like "WHAT?!" But I was kinda bummed out when I also found out that he would only be coming the next day. So for the whole day I didn't do anything. So at around 10:00 PM we returned to our room (take note: our room number was 4) And I slept pretty well that night.
Thursday
I woke up at 6:35 AM. Aunty Michelle was also staying at the church and I said hi and she said hi. We ate at this Dim Sum place with Aunty Michelle and her kids and Aunty Sarah and her kids. The Dim Sum was not bad. After that, we went to the hotel, the place where everything (and by everything I mean the seminar.) was going to happen. I was super excited for this year's conference for the girls. Why? Because Sarah and Grace Mally were the main speakers. So I walked into the hall/ room (I don't know what to call it) and signed in. You see, there were different teams that all the girls would be sorted into. And these teams were named after different light sources. My team's name was Glow Sticks. Tracey and Gabby led it and I was super excited! When all the girls came, we played some games, and a girl called Rachel gave me a nickname. Rachel was about 9 years old. Anyway, the nickname she gave me was Bobbyhui. She's so cute I tell you. So, later we gathered at the center of the room where large group was held. Then I saw Deborah! She's Jonathan's little sister and I thought wow! they're here already!
We learned some songs and memory verses that we had to memorize. Then we learned some lessons and were told some stories. It got a little boring, though. Afterwards, it was lunchtime and we all headed back to out small groups. The food they gave us was not bad. It was chicken with some tofu and rice. Then we had nap time. But you see, you don't exactly "Nap" during nap time. Well, some people do nap but others normally talk or eat. But they always on an audio story for everyone to listen to. So you could choose to listen to that, too. But I can't quite remember what I really did. But I remember talking to Rinnah and Yasha in the end and I found out the Jonathan's room was 7. Which was directly oposite my own room. Oh, I forgot to mention. They were staying in the church, too. After more discussions, it ended at 6:00 PM and we could finally go meet our parents! But my mom was running late, so I called her. Guess what. There was trouble with out car! I couldn't believe it! So my dad came instead and picked Joy and I up. I was quite worried. So, Aunty Sarah's husband went ad bought dinner for us. It was this very delicious fried rice. It was awesome. The parents had to go for another seminar later on so, Joy, me and a few other kids went to Jounique's room to play. We watched Tarzan and after about and hour or so we could go. We went in Aunty Michelle's car back to the church. I walked up the hallway and into one of the 'compartments' where there were a bunch of rooms. Then, at the very least I expected, Deborah (Jonathan's sister) opened the door and I was like "HI!" Well, I already saw her during the conference but what really had taken me aback was Jonathan. His face was so red! It was freaky-ish. But I said 'hi' and he said 'hey.' You must be wondering why his face was red, well, during the conference, the 'Alert Cadets' go to the jungle EVERYDAY. So, they always get sunburnt and I really pity them xD. But Jon kept staring at me, so I got a little uneasy so I went in to my room. I went to sleep after taking a nice shower.
Friday
I woke up extra early. Well, not really. It was only 6:35 AM. The same time I woke up the previous day. I got dressed in the attire that we HAVE to wear. Which was a white blouse and a below-the-knee beige skirt. When I got all my stuff, I opened the door and BAM. Jon was opening his room door same time as I was. And he said 'HI' and I said 'Ssup.' *butterfly fluttery feeling activatte* shutup brain.
The whole gang (which meant all of us) were going to eat breakfast together. When we arrived at the breakfast venue, Aunty Michelle, Aunty Sarah and My mom decided they wanted to eat at this noodle place, while Aunty Serena ( Yasha And Rinnah's mom) And Aunty Jessica (Jon's mom) were going to eat Dim Sum. I followed Jon and Yasha and Rinnah. Because I hate noodles. And I love Dim Sum. We sat down at the table. And the only seat that was left was Between Yasha and Jonathan. So I sat. We ate our breakfast and I talked to Jonathan. For some reason, I have the ability to make him laugh easily. And it was nice. After breakfast we went to the hotel and I walked to the place where Bright Lights was held. But only after I refilled my water bottle, I was walking pass the place where the boys were meeting and caught Jonathan staring at me. I averted his gaze and walked back to the room. The whole day was like yesterday. So after 6:00 PM when Aunty Jessica came to pick Deborah up, Jonathan was tagging along with her. I talked to him because I was waiting for my mom. Then I followed them out later after I signed out. But Aunty Jessica stopped to talked to someone. So I remembered a lollipop I won earlier on and I held it out and said "Do you like lollipops?" and he said "yeah" and I gave him the lollipop and he said "thanks." then he studied the lollipop and said 'Its cola flavored. You know me too well." Exact words. I smiled.. kinda.
So Charis came into the conversation and we talked. Then I saw the sunset through the window and was like "WOW! that's so pretty! I'm gonna go take a picture of that!" Then Charis said "Careful. You might go blind." So I took the picture and walked back and I said "HEY! I think I'm blind!" And Jon laughed and Charis said "I don't think It'll happen so fast. You might need to stare at the sun for five hours to be blind." Then I said "I think I'll pass." Then Jon laughed AGAIN. UGH. Then Jon had to go off for dinner and he said 'bye and I said 'bye.' I had to stay back because I had a rehearsal for a play that FMDC was going to present on Saturday. The last day of the conference. Because you see, every year at the conference, on the last day there would be a few presentations from different people. Like the Alert Cadets and the girls from Bright Lights and a few more. So we rehearsed and I got really tired. Aunty Sarah's husband went to buy dinner for everyone again. FRIED RICE! After dinner, my mom told me that the car was alright. And we could drive back to the church afterwards. We reached the church and returned to our room. I took a shower and went to sleep.
Alright. This is all for now. I'll be continuing Saturday And Sunday tomorrow or something. I'm so tired of typing. GAHHHHHH.
Mood: Tired of typing.
KTHXBYE
