Saturday
I was nervous. Why? Today was the day that I would be performing in the play, and it was also the day that the girls from Bright Lights (including me) would be performing. I had already packed in my costume the day before. So I guess that lifted a little off my shoulders. AHAHA. I dressed up in the usual white shirt and beige skirt. Then I exited the room the take a breath of fresh air. Lovely. I went back inside. It was too late to eat breakfast outside. So my dad made instant noodles for everyone. I took a cup and walked outside to sit and eat. As I was sitting (and eating) Joshua (Jon's bro) walked out while dragging along his suitcase. Yes. They were leaving today. Well, after the whole conference is over, that is. Anyway, I said 'hi' to Josh. (Note: he's 9. No 'connection' involved. XD) And he said 'hi.' Then Jon walked out dragging his suitcase. "I see you're leaving today." I said in a wise shifu (have you watched Kung Fu Panda?) voice. And he nodded. "Is that your breakfast?" He asked. I nodded in a wise shifu way. Then he sat down on the bench thing I was sitting at and I asked "Are you hungry? Would you like a sandwich or something?" My mom was making sandwiches. Then he said "Yesssss". Then I walked back to my room and gave him a tuna sandwich. Then he said "Thanksssss". I nodded again in that wise shifu way. I talked to him a little. Sooner or later, they went for breakfast and I was still eating my instant noodles. Yum... Anyway, we went to the hotel later and when we reached there, I told my mom "Mom, you have to follow me to the toilet to help me put my costume on." Then I went to get my costume. But when I returned, I couldn't find my mom. I was on my own. I ran to the toilet and jumped (No, not literally) into a cubicle. And took out the dress I was supposed to wear. And guess what, I didn't check wether the zipper was zipped or not, (It was zipped FYI) so I forced myself into the dress then ripppp! The zipper detached itself and fell somewhere I know not. I didn't have a replacement dress. Now I panicked. There was now a huge hole from my underarm to my waist. (Please don't imagine that. Please.) SO I quickly grabbed my cardigan and put it on.
I ran out of the bathroom and prayed that no one would see the hole. Good thing, though, throughout the entire play, (Which was only 15 minutes, thank goodness.) nothing else that was bad happened to my dress. So it went pretty well. Afterwards, I dashed out from the hall and changed back into my clothes. (Yes, I know I was already wearing clothes. But I had another set of clothes I preferred walking around in.) And I walked out to the "lobby" (I don't know what else to call it) And I found Yasha and Rinnah and started talking to them. When all of a sudden there's this voice out of nowhere that shouts "I know you were gonna say your Aunt Spiker line!!" And I screamed. I turned around and Jonathan was standing there grinning (and laughing) like mad. "Don't do that again!" I said. Then he said. "You were gonna say your Aunt Spiker line weren't you? You were like 'Oh Beauty-us--' HAHA! I knew it!" And he's just laughing his head off and I'm standing there like an idiot. Kinda. "Haha. Very funny." I said and walked away. I was going to go back to the Bright Lights hall when I turned around and asked Jonathan (note: he was goofing around with his friends) "Hey, what time are you going back today?" And he was like "I'm going back at around 6 lah! happy?" And then my 'blonde mode' switched itself on and I said "NO! I'm not happy." And I could feel myself blushing so I added "I mean, I didn't mean it that way! I mean-ughhhhhh" And I quickly ran away. I didn't see him fro the rest of the day. He went back to KL at 6:00 PM. Sad. So at Bright Lights, we did the usual. But there was a lesson that did attract my attention. There was this boy at a place I forget. And he's got cancer. 5 years old. Really young, I know. And his parents decided that they wanted to collect stamps from different countries for the boy. The reason why.. well.. I don't know. But they're doing this for a good cause. Probably to encourage him. If you'd like to send him a letter with an actual stamp on it, you can do that. To get the boy's address just send me an email requesting for it at asktheweirdunicorn@gmail.com
You are also welcome to fire questions at me using this email. I'll answer them right here on this blog. So be sure to come back. Anyway, back to the story.
I was soooo moved that I asked the speaker for the address of this boy (I forgot to tell you, his name is Ben). I haven't sent him a letter quite yet. But I'll do so as soon as possible. Anyway, it was quite a nice day at the seminar and it ended on a high note. I got the autographs of all the speakers and took pictures with them :). I saw my mom and went to her later. We went for dinner at this steamboat place later with A few other families. It was quite nice. Then later on, we went to Jonker Street! I was so excited. So we parked at the roadside where there was a yellow line. So as we were walking, I saw Yasha and Rinnah and found out, that we got a ticket from the police. Great. So my mom had to walk all the back to check it out. I tagged along with Yasha and Rinnah's family and we bought this Durian pancake, this yogurt ice cream thing in an egg shape, and a keychain! It was so fun. And afterwards I saw my mom and FINALLY went back to the church. That night, I showered and went to Yasha's (well, it wasn't exactly theirs. It was really Jonathan's room, but they were keeping the key) room and we talked. Chanan and Pishon (Yasha's older bros) were there too. And we were talking weird stuff. And we told jokes. Though I think I laughed the loudest. The 'Yo Mama' jokes from Chanan were the best. We talked till it was 1:00 AM and my dad told me it was time to sleep. So I reluctantly obeyed. And I went to sleep.
Sunday
I woke up super late. Why? Well, I just told you that I slept at 1:00 AM, right? Anyway, my mom and dad were already up. And they were frantically running around trying to get stuff into the suitcases. Yes. We were going home. I was quite relieved too. I missed the Internet. A lot. So we had instant noodles for breakfast again. And then we hung around in our room till it was noon. We followed Aunty Michelle out for lunch and VAMOOSH. We were on our way back. We did stop by at a petrol station where I bought two packs of Chachos and a bottle of iced tea. Lovely. And we were off. About four hours later, we reached home and I was soooo tired. We went for dinner and I took a shower and went to bed.
Well, that's what I did during the conference. :D I'm soooo tired now. So very tired. I shall go off and do some facebooking now. Love you guys <3
