I don't know what to think.
Oh, wait. Hello. It's been a week since I last blogged.
So, today I had the most amazing fun I've ever had this year. Ever. We had a farewell party for Jemma's family. It was bittersweet. But mostly sweet.
At about 4: 35 PM I reached the Holtby residence, which was where the party would happen. Jemma and her family would arrive at 5:15 PM. I met Megan and Arathi and the playground area near the pool where they were blowing balloons. The thing was, they were doing it on a grassy area, so if they dropped the balloons on the ground, the balloons would pop. Unfortunately, quite a number of balloons died. Jack and Isaac came around later to bring the chairs, because what's a party without chairs? A chairless party. Anyway, I said 'Hi' to them because they are nice people and I think they replied. I'm not sure. Anyway, we finally got the balloons around the area and all we had to do was wait. Megan brought some poppers so that we could surprise the Jemma's family Oh, wait. Did I tell you that the party was a surprise party? Well, it was a surprise party. The Holtbys had told them that they were invited over to their condo for a "swim", so they had no idea. So we hid behind some walls and we waited for Jemma's family to arrive. Nathanael was with them as they entered the area, and he was talking to them casually when we went, "SURPRISE!" and then Jemma's dad, whose name is Carl kinda screamed. And it was really funny. Their reactions were totally priceless. So we walked to the swimming pool area where everyone started chatting, and they got the vibe going on. Then, Arathi suggested that we play some games, and so we sat near the pool and play this game called "Empire" which was kinda fun, but I'm too lazy to explain what it was about. Go look it up.
Ah, food. We had a great, great dinner. Everyone brought something and there was pizza, burgers, sausages, salad, cake, good stuff. Then it started raining. Yes. Rain. Sadly. But, it was actually kinda nice eating while the rain poured around us. I talked to some people, but not much. Then I stood with Jemma, Megan and Arathi and we started speaking in funny accents. Then Jack joined in. Soon, we decided to sit down and continue talking. Nathanael, David and Josh joined us, too. Jack spoke in a hobo accent. David switched from nanny, to surfer dude, to Englishman. Arathi switched from California girl, to Indian, to southern. Megan went from Indian to southern. Jemma didn't really talk much, instead she sat and laughed at us. Nathanael spoke as a man from Great Britain, and I got Chinese Malaysian. Typical. We all had a great laugh because Jack and David sounded crazy funny.
And then when the rain really started pouring, it was about 7:00 PM. Josh suggested, as a memory, that we all step into the rain as if it was nothing. Well, at first I didn't want to because I had no change of clothes, and neither did Arathi. But we did it anyway, because we wanted to remember that forever. Also, unfortunately, Isaac had to leave early for a tuition. Sad. Anyway, we stood in the rain, and laughed and sang songs and we were just happy. Then Arathi went back into the shelter because her mom was a little mad at her. Jemma and I decided to head to the pool, since we were already wet and we watched David and Nathanael joust with pool noodles. It was super funny watching. We also talked about Owl City, and Jemma suggested that we sing a song, but we couldn't decide which so we just continued watching the dudes battle each other with noodles. Pool noodles.
And then I noticed that Jack was swimming over, and when he reached the surface of the pool, he let out a huge, "PHUAA." which was funny because I started mimicking him. And then Jemma joined me. And then I was like, "Jack, PHUAAA." and we all started saying PHUA to each other. Let me show you an example:
Me: PHUA
Jemma: PHUA
Me: PHUA
Jemma: PHUAAA
And then Nathanael swam over and I was like "Nathanael,"
And then Nathanael was like "Yes?"
And I was like "PHUAA."
And then he raise an eyebrow at me like I was crazy, so I had to explain how we came up with the PHUA thing, that it was Jack who was swimming and resurfacing and yada yada yada. And then Nathanael tried to do it himself, so he went underwater and resurfaced with a, "PTFAHH." and then I started laughing histerically. Now I want you to count how many times I've use the two words, "and then"
Okay, so we continued talking and it was really nice just talking about all kinds of things. Then, everyone started heading back to the shelter place. Megan, Nathanael, Jack and me were kinda just hanging around there. Jack was lying on this reclining chair and I looked at him and said, "Jack, isn't it a little too late to sunbathe at this hour? And shouldn't your clothes be off? Wait. No. That came out wrong."
Then Nathanael and Jack started laughing because it did come out wrong. And Jack was like, "That DID come out wrong! HAHAHAH."
Then I said, "Okay, I think I should head back." Then Jack was kinda like just lying there, and Megan was following behind me when all of a sudden, Jack turned into Smeagol. Like. Really. He was growling and he was in a hunched position and I said, "Megan, we gotta run." And we ran. Because Jack was seriously really scary like that. I'm sorry if you're reading this Jack. At least you know how to scare little children now. XD
Okay. Then we talked some more. And I laughed some more because Jack hunched into his Smeagol position again behind Megan and when she turned around, she screamed and she said, "Faith! Why didn't you tell me that Jack was behind me like that!"
Then I said, "Sorry! I kinda wanted to see your reaction. I'm a horrid person." And I laughed because I love laughing. Then we headed back to the shelter area and we talked some more. At some point, Jemma, Josh, Nathanael and me were discussing music. We talked about different musicians and artistes which was nice because everyone had different taste in music. Then I recommended Lights and Sky Sailing to Nathanael because he likes acoustic music. Which is nice. Then we talked more and I really liked that. Because we were talking about something that I really like. So, soon my mom came to fetch me and I was really sad because I knew that this would be the last time I'd be seeing Jemma for a year. So she gave me a huge, huge hug before I left. Then, Nathanael said bye, and so did Josh, then Jack and Arathi. Then I said bye to Jemma once more. I love them all. In a friend way. :')
If you guys happen to be reading this, I want you to know that you've made up a very big part of my life. And I treasure friends like you. <3
Well, that's all. Bye. :)
Jemma's leaving? Or left?!? Gosh should've known .
